Rihanna to executive produce 'Styled to Rock' fashion reality TV show

Rihanna is set to executive produce a reality TV show called Styled to Rock in the UK this August 2012. 12 designers will compete for a grand prize of creating a look for Rihanna to perform in.

I think this is a concept that actually might work here in the US. Fashion and music is a natural mix. I can see Katy Perry or Lady Gaga doing something similar.

Superstar RIHANNA can add executive producer to her growing list of job titles after signing up to work on a new fashion reality show set to air in the United Kingdom in August 2012.

The pop singer has teamed up with TV network bosses to produce a fashion-centered program called Styled to Rock, in which 12 British fashion designers will compete for the grand prize of creating a distinctive outfit for Rihanna to perform in.

Not only is Rihanna the executive producer of the show, but she will also mentor the contestants as they try to prove themselves worthy of creating and styling some of today's biggest music stars.
Rihanna's personal stylist, Lysa Cooper, will also be on hand to guide the fashion hopefuls, and in the newly released preview for the program, the singer admits, "I've always loved fashion. Fashion has helped shape me into the artist I am today."

There is no word on whether the reality show will air in America, but Styled to Rock premieres next month (Aug 12) on the U.K.'s Sky Living Network.
