Rickey is the only person left who believes David Archuleta will win American Idol

Well you guys may have given up on David Archuleta, but I won't! If I need to round up a new batch of Archey Angels in a couple of days I will!

I am thoroughly disgusted at the conspiracy theories being spread by Team Archuleta in radio and TV interviews yesterday (Dean Kaelin and this guy named Richard who are very close to Mr. Jeff Archuleta -- and work with David on almost a daily basis) that American Idol and Nigel Lythgoe have set out to undermine David Archuleta's chances of winning next week by letting David Cook sing the prized "I Don't Want To Miss A Thing" by Diane Warren, and by refusing to allow David Archuleta to sing a Hip-Hop version of "Longer". (Internal pause to process just how ridiculous that reasoning was...)

This sour graping is unacceptable. Furthermore, this type of meddling is just the type of interference that will cost David Archuleta the title. So Team Archuleta wants to take American Idol on in the media and do a full-court press defense of Jeff Archuleta -- fine. If they want, they can join forces with Vote for the Worst. Dave and Deb have all the conspiracies an American Idol fan will need over there. In fact, Vote for the Worst is already rooting for David Archuleta!

But just imagine this: Nigel Lythgoe decides that Team Archuleta is ungrateful by directly trying to undermine American Idol's credibility. You know what the money-shot will be if Pork Chop doesn't win? Not David Archuleta crushed and crying on stage. It will be Mr. Jeff Archuleta sitting in his chair arms crossed and angry, glaring at the judges, or walking out, or whatever, that HE had just lost and was cheated. Everyone will blame him, Simon Cowell may even make a statement about it, and we will talk about it for days.

So just CHILL! When did this winner-take-all mentality take hold of you guys? Can't you see that David Archuleta is just happy to be here? For the opportunity? Win or lose, a fan is a fan is a fan. Don't resort to nonsense like this. It's just a TV show! Nobody is going to die. I thought you guys were adults.

David Cook has been more popular than David Archuleta for at least a month now so just deal with it. In fact, if there's any conspiracy theory you should believe in, it's that despite Cookey's superior numbers, TPTB will still make Archey win. But that's not going to happen if people close to David are running interference at this stage in the competition. This is the first time that I am hearing from people very close to a contestant, that he is being cheated! What's wrong with you guys?

Nigel, you know I am a true fan of David Archuleta and American Idol. We really want him to win! Please listen to the fans! You know that the little girls have waited so long and have been so loyal.
