'Hannibal' Season 3 Casts Richard Armitage as the Tooth Fairy

Just when you didn't think Hannibal could get any better, the Bryan Fuller series -- which is blessedly in its third season -- goes and casts Richard Armitage (AKA Thorin Oakenshield).

Armitage will appear in six-episodes, starting with 3x08, as serial-killer Francis Dolarhyde, known by his moniker the Tooth Fairy.

Dolarhyde was the basis of the film Red Dragon and has already been mentioned in the very first episode of Hannibal. Fannibals, remember that murdered family in the pilot? Yup, Richard Armitage is to blame.

FUN FACT: Hannibal creator Bryan Fuller is a big fan of Armitage's Hobbit co-star Lee Pace. The actor was in Fuller's Pushing Daisies and the even more short-lived Wonderfalls.
