Report: Billy Joel did not back out of 'American Idol' finale
A representative of Billy Joel denied Scott MacIntyre's claims the Billy Joel was invited to perform with him and Matt Giraud for the Idol Finale. Joel's rep insists that he "was never invited on American Idol to perform with Scott. He did not pull out. He’s currently on tour."
Could be a case of Fox peeps not telling Scott and Matt the real story. Maybe they planned to invite Billy Joel, but forgot.
