Regina King cast in FX's new horror series, 'The Strain'
Actress Regina King is the latest star to be cast in FX's upcoming new horror series, The Strain. 

King has snagged a recurring role on the show, which is a thriller "that tells the story of Dr. Ephraim Goodweather (portrayed by Corey Stoll), the head of the Centers for Disease Control Canary Team in New York City."

He and his team are called to investigate a viral outbreak which is similar to an ancient strain of vampirism. Other stars on the huge ensemble cast include David Bradley, Kevin Durand, Mia Maestro, Natalie Brown, Sean Astin & many more.

The pilot is set to premiere in July 2014.
