Recap and review of Real Husbands of Hollywood Season 1 Episode 3 - It's Getting Hot in Herre.

Last episode of Real Husbands of Hollywood, Kevin Hart & Robin Thicke's rivalry heated up when Kevin was stood up by Mr. Thicke at his own show. Following that he also got a proper beat down from Nick Cannon's nephew Calvin. In this episode, after going over budget, Kevin has to monetize wisely, and tries to go in with the other guys, Boris Kodjoe, Duane Martin, and JB Smoove for rapper Nelly's new home workout video. When the others get mad at him and boot him out, he makes a power play to shock them all!

Kevin got a call from his lawyer Trina Shaw. Trina doesn't like the camera and tries to act in front of it. Trina wants to know why the Miami Heat sent Kevin a championship ring. He said it was a gift, but Trina has a $75,000 invoice and thinks he bought it. Kevin bluffs and said all Trina she had to do was read it. Trina has talked to his business manager and they want him to stop spending frivolous money and stupidity. Trina goes through everything that he has spend, and he can't even pronounce most of it! He finds out from her that some credit went through and he is glad that it went through and he got good credit.

In confessional, Trina says she loves Kevin, but he has caviar tastes, but spells it with a K. She wants Kevin on a budget. Kevin says maybe he was bing "frivolitive" and decides to get a budget, and goes get help from Boris who is frugal, which Kevin thinks is German for cheap.

Boris is miffed that Kevin didn't call before he came, and it turns out that all the guys - including Robin are having a taco party!

Kevin: "You got a sombrero theme?" JB: My grandfather is Mexican!

JB tries to make it seem like he just invited Kevin, but Kevin doesn't by it because it is time stamped recently. He shooes everyone awa and wants to talk to Boris to help him on a "visa-something and his analyzes." Kevin sees a seductive picture of Nicole hanging up and kisses it. Boris tells him to get a number he wants at cut it in half. Duane calls him a grown man about to be put on an allowance, and what he needs is to invest.

Kevin says everyone there is mooching off of his wife and references Martin and My Wife and Kids with Duane's wife Tisha. Robin suggest that if Kevin wants to save racks he needs to stop making it rain at the strip club. Robin says that Kevin should go in on their new project with Nelly. All the other dudes are annoyed because they didn't want Kevin to know, and Nelly didn't either. Kevin then slaps Robin. Robin then goes after Kevin and tries to get him back! He breaks a bottle.

Kevin: "That white crazy boy's got a bottle!"

Boris is yelling respects my house and then starts screaming in German! Robin apologizes Kevin and Kevin says their distrust started it all and Robin agrees. Kevin then calls Nelly about the project.

At the gym room, Kevin introduces Dolvett Quince to Nelly. Dolvett helps Kevin stretch and goes hard because he said his check bounces. Even at that Kevin still can't get his name right! After he leaves, Kevin and Nelly drink by the pool and Nelly says the reason he didn't invite Kevin to do his project - a workout video because he thought Kevin would be too busy! Kevin says the reason he didn't do Dolvett's workout video is to do Nelly's. Nelly then lets Kevin come. When it cuts to Nelly's confessional, he said that the reason he didn't invite Kevin because he said Kevin is insecure, but he knew if he invited everyone else to do it then Kevin would get jealous and do it. Kevin, on the roof, spots Nelly doing his confessional. LOL.

At the workout vidoe shoot, everyone is stretching and Robin is doing yoga while Nelly's "Hot In Here" is in the background. Everyone wants to know why Kevin is not in workout clothes. Kevin goes on a rant how nothing is provided, why Boris got to wear a "sports bra" and wants to share Nelly's trailer.

Boris on Kevin: Anyone who follows 39 people and has 5 million twitter followers is an a***hole.

Kevin goes over and reiterate that to Kevin that they care cool. They begin the video and Kevin stops everything because he is in the back. Kevin then positions himself around the front while recording. They do hammerjacks, but Kevin stops and makes some smoothies.  Nelly tries to kick Kevin out and says everyone is jealous of him and they are all has-beens and says that when Nelly had a hit, Duane was on TV! Everyone else hurls insults at each other. JB says that Duane's not in a move unless it was basketball, Boris says that the good-looking trend is over and he looks like Tyra Banks! They continue on and Kevin burns his contract for the workout video!

Now everyone is at the release party for Nelly's worokout video. Trina is there and Kevin shows him her budget and he has made a 500,000 investment. Trian says he should pack a plate up because he's not going to have any money. All of the guys are at the table talking about the video and the money they made, Kevin joins in and says "our" money, but they said Kevin burned his contract. But Kevin, in a power move, bought the company who bought the workout video and cut their checks! He says he's so rich he forgot to sign his own check. Kevin changed the name from "Hot in Here" to "Hart in Here!" All the guys are angry and are trying to figure out how it happened. Kevin tries to hand Robin his check, and then punches him and takes the check!

Review: Definitely the best episode of the season by far! Wittier storyline, great one-liners, just everything was on point! While still Kevin-heavy (granted it is his show), I felt like we did get a healthy dose of the machinations of the other characters as well this week. Even JB didn't come off as annoying this week, although he still is. I said last week that although everything was going good the show needed to step it up, and it delivered! Robin vs. Kevin definitely got a lot interesting, and we had Nelly being ratchet, Boris consumed in self, all sorts of other things that hit! Next week needs to follow suit!
