Ravenswood - Recap - Episode 5 - Scared To Death

What the heck is happening on ABC Family's Ravenswood? Did someone not make it out of the episode alive?

Miranda (Nicole Gale Anderson) is still stuck in her dream world, or what she hopes, is heaven with her parents. Why are her parents like, practically her age? Isn't that that girl from the other ABC Family series Huge? Caleb (Tyler Blackburn) is now seeing Miranda in his dreams and is able to communicate with her. He wants to warn her about the creepy little girl in the red coat who wants to do more harm than good.

Caleb isn't having a great week. The long lost relative he met last week has already perished. It looks as if he was "scared to death". Ray isn't surprised. He figures the old guy knew it was coming. UGH. Who is Ray and why does this creeper know so much?

Guest appearance by Ashley Benson as Hanna! This should calm down those Haleb shippers for a little bit. But not for long after we learn a pretty big clue to Caleb's past...in another life?? After Remy continues to sleepwalk and ends up in a basement, she calls the others over to snoop. They find a secret room with two bodies inside.

The two bodies locked themselves in a room and killed themselves on purpose. Building a brick wall seems like so much effort. With them are the vows of Original Caleb and Miranda. The two were married on a boat and died in a boating accident on their wedding day. Why?? The two skeletons apparently sacrificed themselves in the hope they could bring Caleb and Miranda back to life to end the curse.

Were they successful? The others wonder if New Caleb and Miranda are actually Old Caleb and Miranda. Is this their second chance? Will these two end up together? What is up with this curse?

And how much does Ray know? When Mrs. Grunwald realizes the group is getting closer to something when they visit a haunted house, she alerts Ray. Caleb convinces Miranda that what she is seeing isn't real and then all of them jump out of a window when it starts getting a little too real.

Then Caleb dies.

Yep. He falls out of the window. Fool. But don't worry. He's only dead for a few moments. Enough time to share an almost moment with Miranda in purgatory. Or wherever they are. In the hospital, Dylan follows creepy little girl to another room where he tells her "He is not going to be happy" that they failed. Gasp! He's in on it too! But why? And who is "he"?

Meanwhile, Ray is digging up Miranda and cuts off more of her hair. "Well?" Ray asks. "They're still alive." Ray puts the hair back in a jar. What was he doing? Was he trying to help or hurt them?
