Ravenswood - Recap - Is This Their Final Destination?

Ravenswood continued the mystery in episode 2 this week. Instead of giving any answers, it certainly raised a lot of questions. Following the accident at the river, one of our cursed 5 doesn't make it out alive.

I'll put aside the fact it's unrealistic that the authorities were immediately notified of the car in the river in what seemed like an abandoned road in the middle of nowhere. At the hospital, Caleb, Remy, Olivia, and Luke are together. They're a little damp but otherwise okay. Miranda is not with them.

In the next room, a doctor has called Code Blue and it's not looking good for Miranda.

Miranda is pronounced dead. At first, I'm surprised. As one of the more "famous" of the 5 cast members, I was wondering how they would keep her (Nicole Gale Anderson) on the show. I get my answer pretty quickly.

Caleb (Tyler Blackburn) is hanging out in the morgue, waiting for a tuna sandwich, when a magnetic something occurs. Things are banging, lights are flashing, and the creepy uncle appears at the door. What is up with that guy? Caleb begins to see Miranda in his dreams. She tells him he needs her bag from the car. Why?

Remy tags along with Caleb to help him retrieve it and Luke is not happy about it. He doesn't like Caleb. The story line with Luke and Olivia seems very random and out of place. I wonder if they'll be able to tie it in somehow because right now it's kind of a bore.

Miranda visits Caleb a second time but while he's awake. She's confused, cold, and looking for answers. Caleb apologizes for not saving her, tears are shed, and it's a sad scene. I feel like it would have been more moving if he had known her longer than an hour.

Why Miranda? Why not the others? It's starting to look like Final Destination up in here because whatever curse is out to get the others, isn't stopping anytime soon. And what about the creepy uncle? Does he know more than he's letting on? Mrs. Grunwald seems to think so.

"When you went to the hospital, how many bodies were you expecting?"

What do you guys think of the direction Ravenswood is going? Is it all bark and no bite with scary elements that don't deliver? Or is the mystery enough to keep you hooked for a few more weeks?
