Ratings New Girl wins Tuesday

Wow! New Girl premiered to a 4.8 last night! The premiere of Glee Season 3 had a 4.0 rating down from last season (it scored a 5.5 last year). New Girl managed to get a better rating even with a "weak" Glee lead-in. Imagine that!

Dancing with the Stars had a 2.8 for ABC while NCIS had a 4.2 for CBS.

Congratulations FOX!

[ Note: I've updated this post to reflect adjusted numbers:

From Fox Research:

Adjusted numbers for FOX are in - #GLEE rises to 4.0 A18-49, #NEWGIRL up to 4.8, #RAISINGHOPE remains at 3.1
]

From TVbytheNumbers:

Fox won the second night of the season with the advertiser-coveted adults 18-49, and CBS took top honors with total viewers. Glee premiered down from last season, but New Girl still eclipsed last season's 9p premiere of Raising Hope when Glee was stronger.
