Ratings: Dancing with the Stars shine on Monday

Dancing with the Stars averaged 20.2 million viewers overall. I guess no one missed Kate Gosselin!

From Variety:

"Dancing With the Stars" (4.3 rating/12 share in 18-49, 20.2 million viewers overall) had nearly twice as many viewers than any other broadcast primetime program Monday, but "House" (4.1/12, 10.6 million) still nipped it in the demo during the first hour. In its final 30 minutes, "Stars" powered ahead with a 5.0/13, a mark unchallenged by CBS' rerun of "Two and a Half Men" (3.0/8, 9.7 million) and the first halfhour of Fox's "24" (2.9/8, 9.2 million from 9-9:30 p.m.).
