Ratings: 'Dancing With the Stars' rises, 'The Voice' drops

Update: The Voice adjusted up to 3.5, DWTS up to 2.6

While NBC was number one with adults 18-49 thanks to The Voice, Dancing With the Stars catapulted ABC to the top spot in total viewers.

That said, though The Voice helped anchor NBC in the key demographic, last night's episode wasn't exactly a bright spot for this season. Last night's top 10 performance show scored a 3.4, down 11 percent from last week's 3.8 adults 18-49 rating, marking the lowest-rated performance show this season, and a Monday low for the series. Revolution remained even, with a 1.9 adults 18-49 rating.

On ABC, it was a bit of a good news/bad news scenario: While the performance finale of Dancing with the Stars scored a 2.5, up 25 percent from last week's 2.0 rating (which tied the series-low number), it was down 14 percent from last spring's 2.9 performance finale rating. The rating was also down 7 percent from the 2.7 rating for the fall performance finale. More troubling was the rating delivered by new series Motive, which premiered to a 1.4 adults 18-49 rating, down 33 percent from Castle’s 2.1 in the time period last week. Of course, ABC might opt to keep the series around anyway, since it's a Canadian import that's costing them next to nothing (a la Rookie Blue).

Over on CBS, the series finale of Rules of Engagement scored a 1.8, down 14 percent from a 2.1 on May 6, when it followed a new How I Met Your Mother. Meanwhile, the season finale of Hawaii Five-0 saw an 11 percent increase, earning a 2.0 rating among adults 18-49 rating. However, the finale was down 26 percent from last year's 2.7 season finale rating.

On FOX, the series premiere of The Goodwin Games tanked, garnering a 0.7 adults 18-49 rating. Meanwhile, The CW had a disaster story of its own with Oh Sit, which delivered a cratering 0.3 adults 18-49 rating at 8PM, followed by a 0.2 adults 18-49 rating for a second new episode at 9PM.
