Ratings: Dancing with the Stars beats The X Factor

The X Factor was beaten by the lowest Fall finale ever of Dancing with the Stars. Sigh. DWTS had a 4.1 rating down 25% from last year. The X Factor was down 18% from last week's performance episode at 3.2.

I think we're going to see horrible numbers tonight as well. On a bright note: Considering how difficult scheduling is in the Fall (baseball and the holidays) -- The X Factor is keeping it's 9-10 million viewers captivated week after week.

ABC's two hour Dancing with the Stars results finale lifted it to the adults 18-49 rating and total viewership win for the night, but its 4.1 adults 18-49 rating was down 23% vs. last Fall and was its lowest rated Fall finale ever.

Fox's special Tuesday two hour The X Factor tumbled 18% vs. last week's Wednesday episode to a 3.2 adults 18-49 rating, not a series low, but a low for a performance episode.
