Ratings: Big Bang Theory wins Thursday, The X Factor steady

The Big Bang Theory won Thursday again with a 4.4 rating. The X Factor was steady from last week at 3.8 (this could still go up later).

As long as there is no big shift down in The X Factor numbers for the next three weeks, I'll be happy. The live shows begin on Nov. 2 -- and the show will air on two Tuesdays two weeks from now.

Fox's The X Factor was basically steady versus last week with a 3.8 adults 18-49 rating. That's down 3% from last week, but if the typical trend holds, it will gain that back in the final numbers.

CBS's The Big Bang Theory scored a 4.4 adults 18-49 rating, topping all broadcast shows for the night, but it was down 10% from last week's 4.9 adults 18-49 rating.

The CW's Vampire Diaries was down a tenth to a 1.2 adults 18-49 rating, and The Secret Circle was off two-tenths to a 0.8 adults 18-49 rating.
