Ratings: American Idol wins the night, but posts lowest 18-34 ratings ever

18.147 million tuned in to the last 30 minutes of American Idol last night, while Dancing with the Stars scores lowest rating of the season.

I guess people are not watching TV as much anymore.

From TVbytheNumbers:

On the night Fox still towered over the competition but its 5.5 adults 18-49 rating overall was down 7% from last week’s 5.9 rating. American Idol’s fast affiliate 6.0 adults 18-49 rating was down 9% from last week’s 6.6, to its lowest 18-49 rating since July 23, 2002, and Glee’s 4.9 rating was down 6% from last week.

More American Idol ratings low notes: Lowest adults 18-34 ratings ever, and lowest household rating, average viewership and adults 25-54 rating since August 27, 2002.

Dancing With The Stars is certainly getting some good PR this season, but its Tuesday 2.4 adults 18-49 rating was again tied for a series low with last week. Lost perked up a bit vs. its last original episode on 4/20, rising 5% to a 3.9 rating.
