Ratings: American Idol rises, but not enough to beat The Voice
Update: American Idol has been adjusted up to 5.7 adult rating and 18.7 million viewers
American Idol was the #1 show last night with a 5.6 adult rating, up 12% from last week. This however was not enough to beat The Voice for this week's #1 program which had a 6.2 on Monday.
After flirting with ratings in the 4's and low 5's two weeks ago, I have a feeling that Idol may be back to it's old form of solid ratings. The judges pick on the results later (blatantly copied from The X Factor) may just be enough of a twist to beat The Big Bang Theory tonight. How long Idol can sustain interest with weekly twists is uncertain, but the past two nights have shown that the unexpected (as well as repeats from the competition) keeps viewers glued to the TV.
Also, 18.5 million viewers watched last night. Steven Tyler obviously doesn't follow the ratings because he thinks American Idol has 40 million viewers.

The debut of Revenge for Real at 10pm drew a 1.4 adults 18-49 rating.
