Ratings: 'American Idol' has lowest rated show ever on Thursday, falls below 8 million viewers - 04/04/2014
Update: Thursday Final Ratings: American Idol adjusted DOWN to 1.7, Hell's Kitchen adjusted up to 1.8. OMG!!! (Source)
American Idol had a 1.8 adult rating on Thursday, its lowest rated show ever in 13 seasons. It had 7.72 million viewers falling below 8 million for the second week in a row. This is also its second least-watched show ever. The lowest number of viewers for Idol was 7.5 million back in Season 1. We're so close! I can feel it.
Also for perspective: Dancing with the Stars had double the number of viewers than American Idol this week, even if DWTS was against The Voice. DWTS also beat Idol in the demo.
The Big Bang Theory had a 4.8 rating and 17.39 million viewers, the #1 and most watched show of the night.
