Elementary had a 1.7 rating and 8.47 million viewers.
This was the last show of American Idol at the 8 PM timeslot on Thursday. It moves to 9 PM next week and then into a half hour results show a week later.
I think this could be the end. The show just might be canceled at the end of the season. Or FOX just might move it or do something else. But this is definitely it. American Idol will have a rating below 2.0 at some point and there is no turning back from that. The 9+ million watching are mostly in the older demo and advertisers are not too thrilled with that. Idol now has The X Factor ratings! Congrats Simon Cowell!
