Ratings: American Idol holds steady, dominates Thursday

American Idol had a preliminary 6.2 rating last night - down from 6.3 last week. The ratings have been adjusted up so it should actually increase slightly.

This show cannot be stopped. This is how to dominate the ratings. Who knew that Haley Reinhart, Scotty McCreery and Lauren Alaina could generate this much interest? These guys are going to be superstars!

#AMERICANIDOL tops ABC/CBS/NBC combined in 8p hour by +23% in viewers (21.6m vs. 17.6m) and +7% in A18-49 (6.2 vs. 5.8)

#IDOL half-hours: 5.6/18 > 6.9/20 in A18-49 (+23%), 19.5m > 23.6m viewers (+21%)
