Ratings: 'American Idol' down, but wins Tuesday - 3/06/2013

American Idol 12 had a 3.4 rating and 11.49 million viewers to be the #1 show on Tuesday. NCIS had a 3.3 rating and 20.35 million viewers -- almost double that of Idol! OMG.

Note: NCIS beat Idol head to head in the demo for the first hour.

I am actually in a state of panic. These are distressing numbers for Idol even if they won the night by a hair.

I think this is the lowest rated Tuesday for Idol ever -- and we are in the lower 3's for the first time this season. I'm nervous.

The rest of the numbers:

Hart of Dixie had a 0.6 rating and 1.4 million viewers.

NCIS: Los Angeles had a 2.8 rating and 15.95 million viewers (beating Idol).

The Taste had a 1.2 and 3.17 million viewers.

The New Normal 0.9 rating and 2.44 million viewers.

Smash had a 0.7 rating and 2.6 million viewers.
