American Idol had a 5.0 adult rating last night, down 34% from a similar show last season. The show had 15.8 million viewers.
This was still not enough to beat The Voice this week which had a 5.4 adult rating. Can Idol pick up the pace tonight? The show just might be stabilizing.

From TVbytheNumbers:
A two hour American Idol led Fox to the ratings win on Tuesday, as Fox had the highest rated Tuesday night among adults 18-49 for any network this season. Idol's 5.0 adults 18-49 rating was a tenth below last Wednesday's Idol telecast (but continues well below last season's ratings), expect that typical finals adjustments will eliminate that gap.NCIS dipped to a season low 3.4 adults 18-49 rating, down 6% vs. a 3.6 rating last week. Interestingly, NCIS: Los Angeles was up noticeably, its 3.1 adults 18-49 rating rose 15% vs. a 2.7 rating last week. Unforgettable fell 5% to a series low 1.9 adults 18-49 rating, vs. a 2.0 rating last week.
The Biggest Loser kept losing, its 2.0 adults 18-49 rating was a season low, down 13% vs. a 2.3 rating last week. The season finale of Parenthood got a boost, rising to a 1.9 adults 18-49 rating, up 12% vs. a 1.7 rating last week.
