Ratings: 'American idol' down 32% from last year - 1/17/2014
The second night of the American Idol XIII premiere had a 3.8 adult rating on Thursday, down 32% from a similar show last year and down sharply from a 4.7 on Wednesday. It had 13.18 million viewers.
The second night of last year's premiere had a 5.6 rating.
Head-to-head, a repeat of The Big Bang Theory beat American Idol at 8 p.m. in number of viewers. Ouch.
The Taste had a 0.9 rating and 3.24 million viewers.
Critics' Choice Movie Awards had a 0.4 rating and 1.95 million viewers.
It's going to be a rough ride American Idol fans. Looks like we are definitely going to see a lot of low 3's and high 2's (or lower) from Idol this season and we will all be sad at how the mighty and the show that makes stars has fallen.
