Randy Jackson - 'American Idol' 12 Will Find A Pop Star - Interview
Randy Jackson says that American Idol is the only show that "continuously has stars that are produced " and predicted that in season 12 they are going to find "that pop star" again. Randy also weighs in on the new additions to the Idol judging panel in this phone interview with On Air With Ryan Seacrest.
Looks like American Idol is still clinging to the one thing they have over The Voice and The X Factor USA. While The X Factor UK has produced mega group One Direction and had some success with acts such as Cher Lloyd and Little Mix, the U.S. versions of Idol's rival singing competitions can not yet claim they have produced a "star" and the American Idol crew rarely passes up a chance to remind the viewing public of that fact.
In this radio interview, Randy once again makes the claim that Idol "makes stars." He also talks about the new additions to the judging panel. Randy calls Mariah " the greatest singer in the world." He says he "loves" Keith Urban and calls him an amazing musician and Nicki....Well he's known her for years. She worked with Mariah once. Heh.
Are you as excited about the new panel as Randy? Can Idol find another Kelly Clarkson or Carrie Underwood? I'm sure the talent will be "better than ever" and the contestants will all be "in it to win it" dawg!
