Ramiele Malubay - American Idol 7 Top 12 - Cast Party

Filipino-American Ramiele Malubay at the American Idol Top 12 cast party
I'm beginning to doubt Ramiele Malubay's ability to make it to the Top 2 like my original prediction because the guys have proven to be stronger this year. Also, Ramiele's music sales have not been impressive. I think her choice of slow ballads is to blame for this. She's great to watch, but the songs she has sung are not the type people want to listen to. However, Ramiele Malubay is still the most popular girl in the competition in terms of buzz and likability so that is still in her favor.
I am now open to the possibility of Ramiele Malubay getting hammered by the judges in the early rounds, with her hopefully surviving intact. She's obviously the neophyte (similar to David Hernandez) among all the "veterans" on the show, so American Idol will use that for all its worth. Plus, Ramiele Malubay crying in the sidelines every single elimination show is priceless. They can't get rid of her early, but they are going to make her cry her eyes out week after week.

Rickey's Bold Prediction: Top 2-7 Finish (I know, it's dropped from a sure #2 to an optimistic #2 -- I initially thought that she would be a good finale with David Archuleta, but other singers could fill that right now -- plus the fact that the so-called fans are not buying her music no matter what worried me)
