Rachel Nichols,  Kiera Cameron on the science fiction show Continuum, rang in the new year with an engagement.

The actress announced the news on Instagram, where she told fans that her boyfriend Michael Kershaw had proposed.

As she wrote for the snap's caption, "ENGAGEMENT DRINKS: Thanks for all the well-wishes!"

Nichols also thanked her fans on Twitter for all their congratulations.

This will be the second marriage for Nichols, who was once the wife of Star Trek producer Scott Stuber. After meeting on the set of the film (Nichols played the bright green girl Kirk gets with) they tied the knot, before parting ways a mere seven-months later in 2009.

Our congratulations go out to the soon to be husband and wife.
