Lee Pace, former star of ABC's cult sensation 'Pushing Daisies', has landed the lead in AMC‘s upcoming drama pilot 'Halt & Catch Fire,' from 'Breaking Bad' executive producer Mark Johnson.

The series dramatizes PC boom of the early 80s through the eyes of a visionary, an engineer and a prodigy whose innovations in the field come into conflict with corporate ideology. The drama will be set in Texas’ Silicon Prairie, where greed and ego clash with boldness and genius. Pace will play Joe MacMillan, a visionary ex-salesman at IBM who departed under mysterious circumstances only to resurface at a Dallas tech company. Pace stars alongside Mackenzie Davis as a computer prodigy and graduate student named Cameron Howe, whose aggressive personality belies an inner vulnerability.

The pilot will be written by Chris Cantwell and Chris Rogers, with Juan José Campanella set to direct and AMC Studios producing while Johnson and Melissa Bernstein executive produce.
