Burger King's 'Proud' Whopper Comes With a Poignant Message - VIDEO

Burger King released the "Proud" Whopper this Sunday (June 29) in conjunction with the Pride Parade in San Francisco, CA.

Customers who purchased the fast food staple were in for a surprise however when they opened the rainbow colored wrapper to find a message inside.

Perhaps expecting a special version of the Whopper, buyers were instead greeted with the message, "We are all the same inside."

Even more touching? All proceeds from sales of the burgers will be donated to a foundation providing LGBT students high school students with scholarships in 2015.

BK says they currently have no plans to broaden the campaign past Pride Week at their San Francisco store, but "may consider something even bigger later on."
