Project Runway - Welcome to Los Angeles!

Project Runway Season 6 is here! Woohoo!

Not only did the show move from Bravo to Lifetime, the location is now in Los Angeles from New York. Not a biggie, but I think Project Runway is synonymous with New York, so I hope the show comes back home again.

After seeing Tim Gunn talk to Johnny, the designer who had issues about his former crystal meth addiction, I think Tim is the best therapist in the world. In fact, I want to go to fashion school right now and audition for Project Runway so I can get a therapy session with Tim.

Tim Gunn, fix my life please!

The first challenge is the design a red carpet dress challenge and Lindsey Lohan is the guest judge.

It's kinda hard to follow all 16 designers right now, but so far I am liking the diverse cast. Unfortunately, the Asian dude is psycho so whatev on that.

RESULTS:

Christopher wins with his ruffled youthful looking dress.

For the bottom, it's between Ari and Mitchell.

Ari does not sketch any of her dresses, and just makes them on the spot via meditation and handstands.

Mitchell allegedly got the wrong measurements for his model -- off six inches, he claimed -- and had to send his model almost naked.

Ari is out.

She was clearly out of touch. Another stunt casting ended on the first episode.

However, it gets interesting! In the 30-minute show afterwards called "Models of the Runway" -- which follows the models ala America's Next Top Model -- we get to see the drama that unfolds with model selection.

Ari's model Erika of course doesn't have a designer and might go home. However the rules changed this year and all the designers get to choose their models before every challenge.

Mitchell's model Yosuzi thinks that he threw her under the bus by blaming her for "lying" about her measurements -- and he does! He doesn't pick her and chooses someone else.

There was also a model designer switch somewhere, and in the end it was Yosuzi not Erika who goes home.

I can't wait for next week!
