Project Runway - Rumble on the Runway

It's a group challenge! Yay! The challenge is to make a beach look. Then halfway, a second challenge was added: an avant garde look. Can the designers make it work without killing each other first?

RECAP WITH SPOILERS:

The designers get grouped into teams of two, and off the bat the teams with the most problems: Mitchell and Ra'mon, and Epperson and Qrystal.

Mitchell obviously has no idea what he is doing on this show, so Ra'mon is panicked. Ra'mon ends up doing everything, from design to sewing. He even had to create a third look when the first avant garde look -- which was a catsuit -- just was not working. 35 minutes before the runway started, he hand-dyed the fabric. Wow, not good.

Meanwhile, Epperson and Qrystal are fighting. Epperson really looks like he has an overbearing personality. No wonder he doesn't have too many soundbites on the show! He is so serious. He seems like he would be very uncooperative when saying things on camera. Qrystal unfortunately did not know how to deal, and Epperson just slammed her during the Q&A... mercilessly.

Results:

Mitchell and Ra'mon in a surprise top 2 finish. WTF. Epperson and Qrystal in the bottom 2.

And then: Ra'mon won! Wow. Well deserved. They really liked the avant garde look which was just dyed 35 minutes before. Talk about come from behind. I hope his already flared up ego doesn't explode next week.

And then another shocker non-shocker: Mitchell is out. For basically doing nothing. Hahaha. As Heidi said, never before in the history of Project Runway has a team member of a winning design left. Mitchell is one of the worst designers on this show ever. Your team won and you leave? What a loser.

Over at Models of the Runway:

Erika took a job for a commercial, and got eliminated during the beginning of the show. Basically she chose the SAG union over Project Runway. Valerie, who was eliminated last week, is back.

A few more model and designer switches, and Fatma -- who everybody dislikes -- still won't go away. Epperson switched models and his model got eliminated.

I like Models of the Runway. It's a great supplement to the main show.
