Project Runway - Finale, Part 2 - Results Winner

The Project Runway Finale starts with... a season reunion. Hmmm. Doesn't that happen after the winner is announced? Interesting...

No fighting in the reunion though. It was very tame.

After ENDLESS retrospective, finally the runway at Lincoln Center:

Gretchen Jones - I actually liked this collection. It didn't pop, but it was solid.

Andy South - Asian music! I thought this was the weakest. Amazingly, the bathing suit was really his "wow" piece along with the green dress he made during the last challenge. I wanted a bit more from him.

Mondo Guerra - Very eclectic but actually cohesive. It was very "Mondo".

Judging:

On Andy: "You may have taken the Asian thing a bit too far."

On Gretchen: "The prints were a bit repetitive."

On Mondo: "It was molto Mondo. It was too overwhelming in the decorative pieces."

Results:

Andy was out early in the deliberation, and it was between Gretchen's "wearability" vs. Mondo's crazy designs.

And the winner of Project Runway Season 8 is:

Gretchen Jones!
