Project: Runway - Everyday Woman

This is the best Project: Runway episode of the season. Shear brilliance.

For the first time while watching Project: Runway, I cried. After watching tonight's episode, there's just no way you're not going to want to see this show through the very end. This is how to produce a reality show darnit. Give Project: Runway the Emmy already. (Oh wait, American Idol is also nominated. Hmmm.)
First up, tonight's surprise models: the designer's mothers and sisters! Yes, which according to Robert Best: guaranteed to give anyone a mindfuck. And mindfuck it was. The designers were not allowed to design for their relative, so all kinds of subplots started to spill over not only between the designers, but also between their mothers! Like mother like daughter like sister like son -- it was amazing.
Anyway, there were some details we learned tonight that were just awesome -- we learn that Laura is pregnant! How about that? She just learned while she was on the show and had not told her husband. She even surprised her own mother when she accidentally told the news. Second: Jeffrey has a sweet mom and that Jeffrey was a reformed alcoholic. This plot-twist was just out of this world for a reality show. How complex this season's villain has quickly become! Jeffrey's interaction with his mother reminded me of how we saw Santino's soft side last season when Tim Gunn visited him in his home in LA during the finals. I'm now so rooting for Jeffrey to kick Angela's ass every week! Haha. Why? Because Angela coached her mother to sabotage Jeffrey during the Q&A! More on this next, I'm getting ahead of myself...
So the pairings were: Uli-Kayne's mom, Kayne-Michael's mom, Michael-Robert's sister, Robert-Vincent's sister, Vincent-Uli's mom, Angela-Laura's mom, Laura-Jeffrey's mom, and Jeffrey-Angela's mom! How perfect was that? An episode that wrote itself! Goddam.
So anyhow, Angela's mom pretty much passed her communication skill genes to Angela, which includes not being able to talk to Jeffrey. Haha. This resulted in Jeffrey totally screwing up, and in the equivalent of a Big Brother tag team, Angela told her mom to say exactly how bad she felt when asked on the runway by the judges. Furthermore, when Angela was asked by the judges about how she felt her mom looked, she did not hesitate to put the blame entirely on "evil" Jeffrey -- painting herself and her mom as the victims in the Jeffrey-Angela war. This is too good.

Meanwhile, the brilliance of Michael continues! This brother is a designer, son. Haha. He's now being portrayed as the thinking designer which is great. For the others, I'm still not excited about Uli. And I don't find the rhinestone school of design as gorgeous as Kayne. And like many, I was quite shocked at tonight's winner: Vincent! Vincent goes on the Project: Runway wall of fame! Jeezuz.

And to add to the twist, guess who was out? Our favorite Barbie-designer, Robert Best, who designed another sadly boring outfit for no other than Vincent's sister.
Tonight's show was perfect. You laughed, you cried, got angry, sad, happy, surprised, name it, it was there.
Rickey's bets: Michael and Laura... and for Jeffrey to eat Angela alive. This is as full-blown a war on Project: Runway as it can get. Can't wait. Squish those hideous rosettes Jeffrey!
