Prince - Breakfast Can Wait - Single Cover Reveal - MP3 Preview
Game: Blouses.
In what may be Prince's most brilliant act of self-awareness, the singer has unveiled the cover of his latest single, "Breakfast Can Wait". The single features an image not of Prince, but of Dave Chappelle as Prince from a classic sketch from the comedian's defunct Comedy Central series, Chappelle's Show. The sketch, part of "Charlie Murphy's True Hollywood Stories," involves Prince and the Revolution beating Charlie Murphy and his crew in a basketball game -- after which Prince serves his defeated opponents pancakes.
That ending provides the image Prince selected for the cover, revealed via his Twitter:
