Pretty Little Liars - There's No Place Like Homecoming - Recap

It's hard to focus on the upcoming Homecoming dance for the girls when they're still getting terrorized by the mysterious A. This week, A is inside their fortune cookies. How did A pull THAT one off? I think they should check who was working the kitchen that day. Anyway, the girls finalize their dates to the dance. Spencer with her new tennis court boyfriend, Hannah with her adorable abstinent homecoming king boyfriend, Aria minus Mr. Fitz, and Emily minus Maya. Emily agrees to go the dance with Toby shocking everyone including herself. He doesn't seem too bad and I'm still giving him the benefit of the doubt. But am I wrong?

The girls are all worried about Toby when they notice a cryptic tattoo on his hip. That tattoo is of the date of Alli's disappearance and underneath it has the words "Free At Last." Okay, I admit. That looks bad. Their worries deepen when they see Emily show up to the dance with him. They spend the night trying to talk some sense into Emily but realize they aren't going to get anywhere without some proof. Spencer convinces Hannah to break into the therapists office and steal Jenna's file. With the file they think they can find out everything she knows about the accident.

While keeping an eye on Emily, Spencer is distracted from her date. Things get worse for her when her bitchy sister shows up to the dance keen on revenge. Her sister is really not letting go of the fact Spencer kissed her fiance. She makes it her mission to sabotage Spencer's new relationship and she succeeds. Spencer barely has time to register the fact her new boyfriend left her at the dance when Hannah finds that it is Toby who has a file in the doctor's office and not Jenna. The file reveals what Alli had on Toby. He had some sort of an incestuous relationship with his step sister Jenna. Alli described it as seeing them "doing it." Eek. Perfect motive for Toby to get rid of Alli?

Things take a turn for the worst for Toby when he leads Emily upstairs to "talk" somewhere "quiet." That's never a good sign. He takes her to the chem lab and for a second I almost thought he was gonna use some chemical to try and blind Emily as well. But instead, It seems all he wants to do is talk to her. He wants to come clean about something. After she gets a panicked text from the girls basically saying Toby murdered Alli, she understandably freaks out before he can say anything else. She hits him, pushes him into some chemicals and bolts out the door. He chases her but doesn't seem very threatening to me. It's a dramatic chase down the halls and it ends with Emily falling? Or tripping? And she screams. The scene cuts to a creepy gloved hand spray painting the town population to reflect the death of a townsperson. Yikes. What do you guys think? I doubt Emily is dead. She's one of the stars. Do you think Toby really had something to do with Allison's disappearance? I think he may have wanted to come clean about something else.
