Pretty Little Liars - The Perfect Storm - Recap

The girls try to stay distracted while studying for their SAT's but a storm is coming. Not only is A getting more and more aggressive with their threats but an actual tornado warning comes to town trapping the girls in school. Spencer is adamant that not even the creepy detective can drive a wedge between them but Emily and her big bag of secrets is proving to be a problem. She's becoming distant and untruthful and she seems to be hiding something new. We see her run inside from the storm covered in dirt after burying something. A tells her it's not that easy to hide whatever she's hiding. What did she bury?

The creeper detective is breathing down their necks more than ever. I just want to slap him sometimes. I feel like he knows more than he's telling. With Allison's memorial being trashed and Toby being sighted the week before, things are getting stressful. His girl of choice for his stalkerish questioning is Emily. Like she doesn't have enough to worry about in this episode. A flashback reveals that Mya wasn't Emily's first girl experience. She kisses Allison in the library and gets the impression that she feels the same. Then when they have an awkward moment in the locker room Allison tells her she doesn't like her like that and rejects her advances. In present time, Emily is reading an old angry letter she wrote to Allison about how she felt after she was rejected.

Just as I'm thinking what horrible evidence that would be against Emily the lights go out. Emily panics and leaves her bag behind. You guessed it, when she returns, the letter and her purse are both missing. By some way or another it lands in the hands of the douche detective who promptly asks Emily to follow him. Emily's friends aren't about to let her be alone with him so they follow to stick up for their friend. Douche Detective who doesn't deserve to be named basically accuses Emily of being in cahoots with Toby for the murder of Allison. He goes through her purse and shows the girls pictures of Emily at the trashed memorial site and some pieces of the memorial she took with her.

Her defense was that it was already trashed when she got there. It gets worse for her when the detective shows the letter and basically outs Emily to her friends for being in love with Allison. Right before Hannah is ready to punch this guy in the face Spencer's mom saves the day. He's not allowed to question minors and everything they've said is inadmissible so he could lose his job. Good!

This entire episode I've been growing more and more suspicious of Lucas. He's a sweet character and geek and I like him. Automatically that makes him a suspect. He always has his cell phone with him and seems to walk into rooms or disappear at interesting times. Just when I'm about to write him off the episode ends showing his shoes all muddy as he tries to tell Hannah something. Did he wreck the memorial? He hated Allison. It's possible. I'm not so sure he's A though. He doesn't seem like a sociopath and I don't see how he would know all that he knows about the girls. A is busy sending a video of Allison to the police anonymously. Hmmm
