Pretty Little Liars - Salt Meets Wound - Recap

Fresh on the news that Pretty Little Liars has been renewed for a second season, this episode wasted no time getting to the mystery and suspense. Hannah's home from the hospital and even more jumpy than usual after learning that A was so close to her in her sleep. Seriously, why haven't they gone to the cops yet? While foraging for some pop tarts in the cabinet, Hannah finds the money her mom stole. Her mom assures her it'll all be paid back before anyone finds out but please. Like that's gonna happen. Her mom is screwed.

Things are super awkward around the house for Emily since her big revelation to her parents. Her dad is still taking it better than I would have thought but her mom won't even look at her. She's having a hard time pretending she's okay with everything while planning a dinner that includes Maya. Maya tries to be as charming as she can be but all it takes is Emily's mom seeing them play footsie to send her bawling in the pantry. She later lets Emily know that the whole situation makes her sick to her stomach and surprise surprise, she's not okay with it.

Speaking of relationship drama, we can't forget the forbidden love of Aria and Ezra. Aria finally get the courage to tell Ezra about Noel but tries to calm him down by letting him know that Noel would never tell. Hmm. Wouldn't he? I think he's up to something or he just has major jealousy issues. It seems he starts to blackmail Ezra for better grades by not so subtly letting him know that he has him exactly where he wants him. Noel is just making the girls flinch non stop. But are they focusing on the wrong person?

Hannah's friends throw her a surprise party and Noel shows up to the girls' displeasure. Whether we know who to trust or not, there are multiple people at that party causing trouble.  But which one is A? Noel is walking around enjoying himself but Lucas is there ruining the party by getting drunk and acting like a douche. It takes a few snide remarks before Sean almost knocks his head off and Hannah takes Lucas outside for a heart to heart. Amidst all of this, Lucas breaks down and confesses that it was he who destroyed Allison's memorial. But, we already knew that. Or at least I did after seeing his muddy shoes. Were these the actions of a murderer or just a dork with a broken heart who was bullied in school?

Tobey's back and he's out of jail! He's got a tracking device on his ankle so he won't be leaving his house anytime soon. Emily finds him to tell him that it wasn't her that called the cops. Not sure if he believes her just yet but he spends the rest of his night with a screwdriver working on his ankle bracelet. Why? If he's innocent, why does he want to take it off so badly? When Jenna shows up for some kissage, she tells him that she called the cops so he would be confined to spending all his time with her at the house. He's pissed, tells her he'd never do anything with her again, and she's able to find his cheek and smack it. Are they both innocent?

Spencer is moping at home after Alex breaks up with her over their different personalities. When someone interferes with a pro tennis application he never intended to send in, he assumes it was Spencer because no one else knew. Someone knew. And it was A. Spencer adds another worry to her list when she discovers another link between Allison and Ian. Is her sister safe? A's been pretty busy for someone so sneaky. They managed to steal all of the money Hannah's mom stole and they're holding it for ransom. What does A want?
