Secrets, secrets, secrets. We learn that Spencer is a repeat offender when it comes to kissing her sister's boyfriends. When Ian shows up as the new coach we get a flashback of Spencer and him kissing and Alison watching. She calls Spencer a skank and basically says how horrible she is. What an awful girl she is. Seriously why was anyone friends with her? I'm not even surprised anymore that someone murdered her. An equally crappy friend is Mona. When Hannah can't afford to go shopping with her she breaks up with her as a friend and spreads a rumor that Hannah lost weight from liposuction. What a bitch. She invites the other girls to her birthday glamping which is basically like rich girl camping.
The FBI shows up when they receive a video of Allison on the night she was murdered. She's wearing Toby's sweater and she's being videotaped by a guy on the kissing rock. Whoever the guy is, it was a secret relationship and Allison didn't want anyone to know. The girls and the FBI are convinced that it's Toby because it's his sweater so a warrant for his arrest is issued. Poor Toby.
Emily's gets ready to go to the party after her father comes home from the war. She's so happy to see him but something tells me she won't be for long. A sent her mom the pictures of her kissing Mya. Awkward. Emily pulls up to the party and surprisingly doesn't scream when Toby pops up in the backseat. I would have peed my pants. But I still think he's innocent. He tries to plead his case with her and explain himself. He did see Alison the night she was murdered and it was his sweater but he didn't do anything to her. He was talking to Alison about Jenna being in love with Toby and how Toby wanted out. Alison then got in the car with another guy. He begs Emily not to tell her friends or the cops but poor Toby. The cops find him and he looks so sad. Did Emily spill the beans? Or was A watching?
The rest of the girls are at the party and set off on a scavenger hunt to find out the identity of A with the clues they leave behind. Hannah tries to spy from a distance to catch A in their tracks. Emily and Spencer find another clue while Aria is off making out with Fitz in some car. They find a tree with a heart carving in it. The names Alison and Ian. Ian is the boy in the video. Is he supposed to be A? Whoever A is is spying on Aria and Fitz in the car and Hannah finds out who they are. She texts the girls to meet her in the parking lot so she can share what she saw. She doesn't get very far and A hits her and runs her over. Oh no! Not Hannah! A leaves one last message to the girls: She knew too much.
