Pretty Little Liars - Je Suis Un Ami - Recap

This episode was a bit slower than usual. Probably setting up for big things to come. Aria spends the majority of this episode worrying about whether or not her parents caught her with Fitzy at the museum. She gets more and more worried as her parents act like they're hiding something. They are acting fishy but it's not what Aria thinks. Aria grabs Hannah and follows her dad on his mystery date. They spy on him making out with Ella in the school library. Awkkkward.

A dark library of a school late at night is the last place I would go if I was them. Haven't they ever seen that Halloween episode of Boy Meets World? After the parents leave, Hannah spots something unusual in a vent. Some clothes, a bunch of cell phones and a wad of cash. Hannah is convinced it's A and they've been hiding out in the school. She grabs the cash and they try to leave. The lights go out and a lamp falls to the floor. Uhoh. Time to run. A dark figure in a hoody chases them screaming down the hall. Thank goodness Hannah has hairspray in her purse. Turns out it's not A trying to kill them. It's Caleb and he's been sleeping at the school with no place to go. You would think he would shout out to Hannah that it was okay as he chases them.

A is still bullying Hannah and threatens to tell Aria about trying to expose her last week. Why doesn't A pick on the other girls as much? Caleb asks for a date with Hannah to drum up his cell phone fixin' business that he's got going on. She takes him to a swim meet of Emily's where we get like, three slow motion swimming montages with cheesy victory music. Whatever. That whole plot was boring. The only thing that stuck out to me was that Emily didn't turn Paige in for trying to drown her and they'll probably end up dating. Hannah gives Caleb a place to stay but she's in no mood to bond. She sits with him sobbing on the stairs once Aria finds out what she did.

Spencer's storyline was by far the most interesting of the night. I'm starting to love her. She's like Nancy Drew. Spencer decides to work on Toby this week. She sees he needs a French tutor so she jumps at the chance of being able to question him about Allison. He doesn't let Spencer inside because Jenna is there creepin, so they study on the porch. She tells him she's sorry and that she thinks he's being framed. Just as she asks him how the bloody sweater could have ended up back in his house, a window slams. Someone needs to lock Jenna somewhere.

There are so many people that i'm suspicious of and one of them is still Melissa. I know we're supposed to be wary of Ian but I dunno. I think he knows that Melissa is crazy. We find out tonight that Melissa is the one who proposed to Ian and now she's pregnant. Hmm. Is SHE the one who needs an alibi? I definitely think they're hiding something. Ian couldn't wait to get Melissa out of there when Spencer brought up Allison. The ending scene shows Toby giving Spencer something he found in Jenna's room. It's a note with Braille on it. Translated it means: #Bad ...Does Jenna use twitter or something? I have no theories on this one other than Jenna may not be blind.
