Pretty Little Liars - If At First You Don't Succeed, Lie, Lie Again - Recap

The girls wake up from their sleepover to find that Aria has been brainstorming over the picture all night. She's deduced that the only place the picture could have been taken from is Allison's bedroom. This means their next target for questioning is Alli's brother, Jason. Spencer has been hiding something so unsurprisingly, she volunteers to be the one to talk to Jason. He's unimpressed with the photo and tells her that his family has been getting conspiracy theories and crap in the mail for a long time. He's convinced it's photoshopped and they're back at square one.

Emily's back on the swim team and the reigning captain, Paige, isn't happy to see her. She bullies Emily and makes some homophobic comments that land her in hot water with the coach. Emily gets mad when Spencer tells on Paige for her but I can't see anything wrong in what she was doing. She's a good friend in my opinion. And that new girl is NUTS. After the meeting with the coach, Emily is in the pool practicing and Paige holds her under water to..shock her? Scare her off the team? NUTS. This is a violent town.

Aria is excited at the prospect of a real date with Ezra when she gets two tickets to a museum out of town. She sets it up and he surprises her with a limo. It's so cute and romantic that it's disgusting. You didn't think this would be smooth sailing did you? A would never allow it. A is still picking on Hanna for some reason and texts her to rat Aria out to her mom. Hanna would normally never consider it but she's having her own problems. When her mom is called in to a meeting at the bank, they start to panic about losing it all, losing each other and Hanna breaks down. She sends Aria's mother a ticket to the museum but seems to regret it immediately.

She tries to stop Ella from leaving but she's stuck in detention with the new bad boy, Caleb. Lucky for her, he's not offended by how much she loves Justin Bieber and disables Ella's car as a favor to her. To Ella's disappointment, she's forced to call on her (ex?) husband to help her out. When he can't fix the car, he offers to drive her to the museum himself. Just when you think Aria and Fitzy are finally going to be discovered, her parents make out in the car instead. They probably never even made it inside. This is good news for Hanna who didn't really want Aria to get caught. Does she still get brownie points with A for trying? Hanna and her mom also luck out when the meeting at the bank never happens because, well, the old lady they stole from dies.

Spencer decides to go to the store the cloth bracelets were made at, hoping that the store owner keeps a record of who bought the duplicate copies. She gets a surprise when she asks however, when the owner tells her that "Spencer Hastings" bought the bracelets. Whaaat? Spencer's face says it all. Jason comes back to tell Spencer that the Private Investigator his family hired told him the picture is real. He then makes a confession that he has no idea if he took it because he spent the majority of that summer getting high with Ian. Oh boy. Anyone could have been in that room with him.

We get a flashback into what Spencer was hiding. Turns out the shadow in the picture is her after a huge fight she had with Allison where she wished her dead for forcing her to tell Melissa the truth about her and Ian. We don't see how far Spencer gets but I'm hoping she just yelled at her some more and didn't witness the murder.

Spencer doesn't have an evil twin or anything, the store owner is in A's pocket. We see a scene between the old lady and the gloved mystery hand having some tea. The lady makes a comment about how pretty the eyes of the mystery person is. Hmm..Jenna? Is she even really blind??
