Pretty Little Liars - For Whom The Bell Tolls - Season Finale Recap

The girls wonder who has been making videos of them as children for years. Who is the town pedo that Alison knew about? Why didn't she say something sooner? The question as to why Jenna wanted the tape is answered. One of the videos included is of Jenna seducing Toby and blackmailing him to be with her. Naturally Jenna wouldn't want that getting out. The girls decide to find out what Jenna knows.

I think I'll just get the less than exciting storylines out of the way. Ezra texts Aria about a cop showing up to his apartment so she freaks out about them going to jail. Turns out the cop didn't do anything and he's just excited because he resigned as her teacher and will be teaching at the college. Their happiness is short lived when Ezra's ex fiance shows up announcing she will be his colleague. Awkward. And in Emily news, her mom announces they're moving to Texas. She should probably go to be honest. A killer is messing with her.

Now to the good stuff. The girls corner Jenna to finally drag the truth out of her after confessing that they have what she wants. She tells them that Alison had the video of Toby and Jenna together and that she was blackmailing her to leave town. "The guy I like likes to make videos, but I thought he only made them of me." Did she know Ian was peeping on them and she went out with him anyway? Geez no wonder she was killed. Is the reason Jenna came back into town after her accident because Alison was gone?

The girls decide that enough is enough. They've heard enough to solidify Ian's behind it all and it's time to take action. They create a plan to blackmail Ian for the videos anonymously, pretending to just want cash. What they don't know is that Jenna knows more then she's telling. She's working (?) with Ian. She immediately calls him to let him know the girls have the videos. He lets her know he's taking care of it. Uhoh. You would think that would be the only surprise but NO! Ian isn't the one Jenna is dating. Jenna is dating..dun dun dun. THE COP. Garrett or whatever his name is. He tells her not to worry and Jenna's secret will never get out. What the hell? Did Ian or Garrett take the videos? Why would he care?? It's even more scary because this guy carries a gun and three of our girls are waiting for Ian with him in the dark woods. Run bitches run!

Lucas is back and he's not a total douche anymore! He overhears Mona telling Caleb not to contact Hanna anymore and is pissed. He just wants Hanna to be happy so he drives to Arizona to get Caleb. Awww he's so sweet! Spencer isn't with the girls in the woods because she had to go pick up Melissa in the church. Melissa starts whining about forgetting her phone in the church and then BAM. Their car is hit by another SUV. Who was in the other car? Was it Caleb and Lucas? Are they okay?? Melissa ends up in the hospital with the fate of her fetus unknown and she does not look like a happy camper. Spencer goes to find Ian at the church to tell him the news.

Now immediately I know this isn't going to be good. Why are these girls walking alone at night ANYWHERE with a killer on the loose? Good grief. Wouldn't you know it, the door slams behind Spencer as she walks inside. It's Ian. And he doesn't look happy. He tells Spencer he's not surprised to see her and tells her about the anonymous texts he's been getting. He dials the number and the phone rings in Spencer's purse. Uhoh. Why couldn't the girls do that for A?

Run Spencer Run! He's gonna kill you!

Spencer stays fierce even in the face of death and hurls the flashdrive at Ian's head. Then she runs..up. Up a flight of stairs to the top of the bell tower. Where exactly does she think she's going to go once she gets there? Look for a window! Or a door! Save Spencer! Ian of course catches up with her and tries to kill her by pushing her off the tower. In between her screams, I make out that Ian planted a suicide note in Spencer's room to frame her for Alison's death. He seems to confess to hitting Alison but Alison died of suffocation. Spencer begs him not to hurt her because Melissa wouldn't want it. He then says he's doing all of this for Melissa. OMG.

As Spencer is dangling over the edge and hanging on for dear life, a hooded figure shows up. Ian is shocked to see them and seems like he recognizes the face. The hooded figure pushes Ian to his (presumed) death and leaves Spencer. Who just saved her life?? The three girls rush to the church after having heard the entire attack on their phones. They call the police and rush to Spencer's side. The police go in and..THE BODY IS GONE. What the hell?? The girls receive one final text from A telling them that nothing is over.

- Did Ian really kill Alison? I'm partial to the idea that Melissa did it and he was protecting her out of some sick misguided love for her. Did Melissa really forget her phone? Did she want Spencer to go back?

- Who took the videos? Ian? The cop?

- Who was in the other car during the accident?

- Who pushed Ian? Who took the body?
