The girls are on edge after the discovery of Ian being the one who "killed" Allison. Hanna wants to watch the tape and look for clues but the rest of them want to go straight to the police. Spencer is hesitant about walking into a trap and clings to her laptop for the duration of the day. She lets it out of her sight and naturally, A is roaming the school and gets the computer. How is A just able to waltz in and out of the school? Does that mean A is a student? Or..dare I say..a teacher? Because I'm not buying that it's Ian.
Aria's ex babysitter comes to town and she's happy to see her for about five minutes. Aria's happiness is short lived once her mother fixes Simone up with Ezra. There's another new face this week in the form of a sketchy new student. He has a habit of making money picking locks and reprogramming phones which allows Emily to speak to Maya. The girls are setting up for yet another dance..man this school sponsors a lot of dances. They should invest in better security. There are some questionable people roaming the dance floor.
Hanna is busy looking or a job to help pay back the money her mom stole. She doesn't have any luck like most of the people in the country until she gets a text message from A. A offers to pay Hanna a portion of her money back to break Lucas' heart. Why is A picking on Hanna so much? While Hanna is busy doing that, the other girls focus on breaking into Ian's desk at school where they think he has hidden Spencer's laptop. Spencer gets Ian's keys and attempts to break in but is interrupted by the new sketchy student whose name I can't remember. I wonder what she would have found.
Hanna dances with Lucas one time too many times and Sean breaks up with her. Hanna dances with Lucas in tears and discovers a wad of cash in her pocket. When you think about it, money for dancing isn't a shabby way to make a living. The dance gets a tad more colorful when Emily gets drunk over missing Maya and tries to cause a scene. She confronts Ian and tells him that they all know what he did. Ian grabs Spencer and demands to know what she's referring to. Spencer covers for them and says the girls know she kissed Ian last summer. I was assuming this would calm Ian down but it seems to make him angry enough to threaten Spencer. Why would someone get hurt if that news got out? Is Melissa the jealous type?...
Spencer's laptop is returned with the video deleted. You know, if they took that to the right company, they could probably get it back. Logic isn't really their thing. The video may be gone but A has left a new present, this time in the form of a picture. It's a picture of Allison the night she was murdered as she's leaving the sleepover. There's a shadow of someone following her. Who is it? The look on Spencer's face suggests she knows something. What is she hiding?
