ABC Family has officially announced that the fourth season of Pretty Little Liars will premiere on June 11th, following a day-long Pretty Little Liars marathon. This will come a week after the June 4th premiere of a special series recap, “Pretty Little Liars: A LiArs Guide to Rosewood“ on June 4th.
In the season four premiere, title "A is for A-l-i-v-e", the Liars are desperate to uncover what new scheme “A” has in store for them in the wake of the lodge fire, while turning to Mona for answers, now that she's also being targeted. Meanwhile, Aria struggles with seeing Ezra in the wake of their breakup, and Emily starts to make plans for life after high school. Things also continue to get complicate for Toby, as “A” sets him on a new path. The premiere also promises to reveal what was in the trunk in the climactic final shot of season three, while also hyping "a shocking discovery reverberates through Rosewood."
The premiere airs at 8:00 PM ET on June 11, to be followed by the series premiere of Twisted, a drama that follows Danny Desai, a charismatic 16-year-old with a troubled past who returns to his hometown after spending five years in juvenile detention. Immediately branded an outcast, Danny attempts to reconnect with his two childhood best friends, Jo and Lacey, and to smooth over tensions with his mother, Karen. When a fellow high-school student is found dead in her home, Danny instantly becomes the Prime Suspect and the town spirals into a frenzy of suspicion and mystery.
