President Obama Responds to Nicki Minaj's Lyrical Mitt Romney Endorsement

President Obama's response to Nicki Minaj's lyrical endorsement of Mitt Romney seems to be the same as most people's.  He's not sure whether she is being serious or not.  Nicki seems to affirm the speculation that she was being sarcastic in her Twitter response to the president.

Nicki Minaj had many fans speculating whether she was serious when she seemingly came out as a Romney supporter by rapping the lyric "I'm a Republican voting for Mitt Romney, you lazy bitches is f---ing up the economy," in the  Lil Wayne song Dedication 4.

In a radio interview with Orlando's Power 953, the President says, "I'm not sure that's actually what happened.  I think she had a song on there, a little rap that said that. But she likes to play different characters. So I don't know what's going on there."

Minaj responded to the president's remarks on Twitter:

Ha! Thank you for understanding my creative humor & sarcasm Mr. President, the smart ones always do... *sends love & support* @barackobama — Nicki Minaj (@NICKIMINAJ) September 10, 2012

Awesome! Now I can tell my grandchildren that the 1st black President of the United States took the time to address a Nicki Minaj question

I love that the president doesn't get too riled up about these kinds of things. He took the Clint Eastwood thing in stride as well. He seems to have a pretty good sense of humor and doesn't take himself too seriously.

Here's the radio interview:
