Partly because I am hoping my reverse jinx works a second time, but also because I am not the only fan in the world who has realized that Anthony Fedorov really needs to climb every mountain just to get out of the hole he got himself into last night. Scott Savol -- who also had an impossible dream -- sang first, had the smoking gun issue pop up and sang lousily, but this was the first test for his loyal fans to get him out of a hole, while Anthony fans had to endure a second straight week of desperate dialing last night, and I don't know if we had enough fortitude. I'm certainly burned out.

I can just see it now: in a couple of hours, the sheer ridiculousness of singing Climb Every Mountain as your farewell song to America. Life is so cruel. Anthony! Cutie-stud-muffin! Singing Mother Superior's Climb Every Mountain! Whaaay? It cannot end like this. Waaaaa.
