Portland to Burlington

We drove from Portland, Maine to Burlington, Vermont passing through the White Mountains of New Hampshire.

I really liked Portland, Maine. It's a nice small city with buildings and houses that appealed to me. We didn't get to walk around much, but we had dinner in a floating restaurant by the waterfront. Our trip was quick since we wanted to see as much of New England in the short time we had, but I would like to visit again in the future.

It was a six-hour drive to Burlington, we spent the time critiquing the different houses and steeples along the way. The vacation houses in the northern part of the White Mountains were easily the best ones, and we had some great views going into Vermont. We decided that the best color for a house in the snow would be red or dark green.

We're spending half of Saturday in Burlington before we head back to New York in the evening, passing by the Green Mountains of Vermont. I have not taken a lot of pictures, but I'll have some to post here when I get back.
