In the wake of the tragic death of actor Paul Walker over the weekend, Universal Pictures has made the decision to donate a portion of all sales from the DVD, Blu-Ray and digital releases of Fast & Furious 6 to Walker’s charity, Reach Out Worldwide.

“With the passing of Paul, the world has lost a man who spent a great deal of his life in service to others. We share in the deep grief of his family, friends and the countless fans who love him,” said Donna Langley, Chairman of Universal Pictures. “We keep Paul’s memory alive and honor his legacy through continued support of Reach Out WorldWide, the non-profit he founded to give hope to those who must rebuild after they have experienced natural disasters.”

Walker started Reach Out Worldwide following an emotional trip to Haiti in January 2010, in which the actor met with victims of the earthquakes that devastated the country. The organization itself is "a network of professionals with first responder skill-sets who augment local expertise when natural disasters strike in order to accelerate relief efforts." In brief, it's an incredibly proactive charity organization, and representative of Walker's desire to affect change.

Fast & Furious 6 releases on Dec. 10, although anyone wishing to express condolences to the Walker family are encouraged to do so by making a donation to Reach Out Worldwide through their official web site.
