Poll: Did Paula Abdul Make a Mistake?

Just like I had feared in a worst case scenario a few weeks ago: American Idol called Paula Abdul's bluff of leaving of the show. TMZ says that Paula and Fox were 'still in negotiations' when Paula decided to tweet that she was leaving the show last night. Fox quickly decided that this was her resignation (they also found out via Twitter) and confirmed that she was leaving. Like I said, Paula should fire her manager. This is the worst negotiation tactic ever. If she expected Fox to come crawling back to her with a big offer because of the 'expected fan backlash' - it didn't happen.
Why would someone walk out of the #1 show in America where you get seen by millions (and therefore be able to sell your jewelry on HSN)? Also, she turned down millions of dollars a year -- in a recession! Who does that?
