Poll: American Idol Top 7 - Mariah Carey Week - Who was your favorite?

It's Mariah Carey week and a surprising result: the boys rule!

It was an amazing night for the boys as David Archuleta sang When You Believe -- and channeled his inner diva. As an added bonus for Archey Angels out there -- he gaves us our "touch my heart" gang sign. Our excitement was worth it.

Next tragedy: Carly Smithson sang Without You -- but was panned by the judges, specially Simon Cowell. I think this is it for Carly. Simon showed no mercy this year, what a shame. And on one of her best vocals too. Singing #2 not getting any love from Simon? That's pretty much game over.

Syesha Mercado sang Vanishing and had mixed reviews, with Simon telling her to be "cautious".

Brooke White sang Hero -- "unplugged" on the piano. It was okay, but she banged a few wrong notes on the piano in the end which threw her off.

Kristy Lee Cook sang Forever, and the judges generally liked it, with no indication from Simon Cowell that she was in trouble

David Cook sang Always Be My Baby, and was easily the most original performance of the night, and could be his next "Billie Jean". It was brilliant. And then he teared up in the end. The Davids Finals now looks like a strong reality.

Jason Castro sang I Don't Wanna Cry which I thought was a great follow up to his "Over the Rainbow" last week. He is now more confident! Good job!

I think the person leaving tomorrow is Carly Smithson, and my conspiracy theory didn't happen. Oh well. I thought they were protecting her, but it looks like this is the end of the road. (More analysis on that tomorrow).
