Platinum Hit - Wheels Up

Hook Challenge: Write a Road Trip Song

The songwriters need to incorporate a specific word in their hook. During the word-sharing, Jackie Tohn and Nick "fight"! Yay. Finally something I can go along with.

3rd - Jackie
2nd - Jes
1st - Johnny

The 1st place hook winner Johhnny got to pick his entire team before the other two. He picked Brian and Scotty. Jes had Amber and Melissa, while Jackie had Karen, Sonyae and Nick.

The teams take a road trip to a motel to complete their songs. Surprisingly, Nick and Jackie got along -- just like Nick and Sonyae last week. Hmmm... My excitement about conflict was short-lived. Nick, Sonyae and Jackie -- the three most "out of control" cast members in the previews are on the same team and they are all BFFs. Sigh.

Jackie's group composed "The Road Is Where My Heart Is"
Jes' group composed "Home For Me" - This was awful
Johnny's group composed "Going Where I Need To Be"

Results:

"Going Where I Need To Be" won.

"The Road Is Where My Heart Is" was the losing song.

The judges were confused by the opening line written by Jackie. However, Karen was eliminated because she wrote even worse lyrics.

This show. Does not. Make sense.

Of course I'll still watch next week. Sadly, I it really seems that this show cannot be saved.
