The Good Dinosaur: Pixar's 2014 film will center on an apatosaurus family living and working as farmers in an alternate reality where a meteor never struck the planet rendering the dinosaur species extinct. Frances McDormand and John Lithgow will lend their voices as mom and dad. Judy Greer and Neil Patrick Harris will star as middle twins, while Bill Hader has joined as the family's oldest son. Main character, and youngest of the dino brood, Arlo, will be voiced by Raising Hope's Lucas Neff.
In The Good Dinosaur, the prehistoric dinosaur species have evolved, as humans have. According to co-director Pete Sohn, the post-prehistoric beasts were designed to use their bodies as their tools, like farm equipment. For example, the triceratops have evolved into living bulldozers! One day while plowing, young Arlo stumbles upon a baby human boy dressed as a beetle. The story will tell the tale of how dinosaurs come to terms with this newly discovered species of "pests."
Inside Out: Two years ago, Disney animation head John Lasseter spoke on a film in its earliest stages, which was at the time untitled. Inside Out will take viewers inside the mind of an angst-ridden preteen who struggles adjusting to a new life living in a big city with her folks. Disgust (Mindy Kaling), Fear (Bill Hader), Sadness (Phyliss Smith), Anger (Lewis Black), and Joy (Amy Poehler) clash and collaborate while attempting to help this 11-year-old girl function properly. Expect things to get very interesting as Pixar explores the worlds of the mind, such as "abstract thought" and "long-term memory"!
