Pink named Billboard's Woman of the Year

It's official: Pink is Billboard's Woman of the Year for 2013.

Billboard made the announcement today that the pop singer would receive the honor at its annual Women in Music event on Dec. 10 in New York City, reports HitFix.

This has been a pretty great year for Pink, as the singer's sixth studio album, "The Truth About Love," has sold 1.7 million albums since its release last year, launching three Top 10 hits including the No. 1 "Just Give Me a Reason."

Past recipients of the honor include Beyonce, Katy Perry and Taylor Swift.

Pink is currently on her international "The Truth About Love Tour."
