Pia Toscano is #1 - Ranking the American Idol 10 Top 13
Pia Toscano has emerged as the most popular contestant in the Top 13 on Rickey.org. If the show was a one week affair, she would have been the next American Idol. Can she sustain it next week? Our seasonal rankings begin!
You can't analyze what you can't measure -- and thankfully, I can track which performances are doing well on the blog. The rankings from pageviews on Rickey.org are surprisingly in tune with what transpired this week in the results show! The only hold out was Naima Adedapo, who was not as "popular" as 2 other girls. Everyone else were the top twelve girls and boys based on pageviews. What a shock! (I should have referred to my stats when I did my fantasy league on HitFix -- I would have predicted Haley correctly!)
There are of course a couple of caveats to this ranking. First of all, the girls and boys performed on different days, which may skew some of the pageviews for the boys up. Secondly, a contestant may or may not be popular depending on how people arrive at the blog. Sometimes, the blog gets a sweet spot from Google, Facebook or Twitter which may bump the views up. Finally, I do not promote these guys equally as everyone knows.
I'll keep the initial seasonal average as it is because we need a baseline for the rankings moving forward. If someone becomes more popular, it will reflect in the rankings next week hopefully.
I've also added Stefano Langone's Wild Card performance stats for comparison. Maybe this might be a sign of things to come for Stefano, who knows.
